What is a Farmers' Market?

Farmers' Markets are where local producers themselves bring their produce for sale direct to the public.  No bought-in goods are allowed to be sold.  It is a market where the public can expect to find quality produce that is fresh and wholesome and sold at a fair price.  The idea is to provide a local small-scale producers and processors with a forum in which to sell direct to the consumer and so contribute to the economy of the community in which they live.

Trans-Send Farmers Markets are held in the Lantern Centre in Ilfracombe High Street on the second and fourth Sunday of each month.

Exceptions to this are around Easter and Christmas when dates may be different.

April 22nd and May 13th & 27th

Details about the markets can be obtained from Tim (who is the market co-ordinator) at Trans-Send.

We are always looking for new and different producers to widen the choice for customers.
