The objects and mission of Trans-Send are:
'To promote
sustainable living and the use of renewable energy in Ilfracombe and
north Devon by undertaking community based projects and providing
information, training, education and advisory services.'
The
organisation's long term vision is for the area to become 100% powered
from renewable energy.
Our
definition of sustainability comes from the 1987 Bruntland Report, which
states,
'Sustainable
development meets the needs of the present without
compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.'
